Greek-Turkey combination trip (sea-kayak)

LesvosAdventure is a team with an open spirit and an open heart with its eyes focused on the future and not on the past. The summer of 2008 we contacted our neighbours and colleagues from Turkey to ask them if they were interested in a joint-venture. The guys from Sunderland Travel became not only valuable cooperators but also close friends. We all have the same philosophy about offering high quality tourism for active people in an ecological-friendly way.
We are proud to present you an active program which will give you the unique opportunity to enjoy the cultural richdom, local cuisine and beautiful nature of both countries: Turkey and Greece.

This is the first time that collaboration like this comes into existence in Greece!Ancient Pergamos

The trip begins in Lesvos with the "Routes of ouzo" but on the eighth day we leave Mytilini by boat to arrive in beautiful Ayvalik where we go to "Ada Camping" which will be our base for the next 5 days. The boat trip is roughly one hour from the port of Mytilini to the port of Ayvalik. We will arrive at approx 10:30 and after camp is set up, we will have plenty of time to explore the beautiful cosmopolitan town of Ayvalik where we will try famous Turkish cuisine. In the evening we will enjoy dinner on a romantic veranda in front of the beach at "Ada camping".

Day 9 : We wake up and after an enjoyable morning dive we have breakfast at the camping ground and get the last instructions on paddling for the day. We load the kayaks and we paddle from the camp to the islands west of Cunda (Cunda is the biggest island, our base camp) Pinar Ada, Kara Ada and Yellice Ada. The distance is about 8 miles and we'll have some breaks in between for swimming, snorkelling, for some snacks and relaxing.
We come back to the camp to rest and relax and in the evening, we go for dinner to a Turkish restaurant in front of the sea at Cunda Island with live folk music and maybe even get a chance to dance!

Day 10 : Today is going to be a long paddling day so we start our day a bit earlier than usual. We paddle to the north-east side of Cunda and we pass the small islet "Maden Adasi" where we will stop for a dive and some snorkelling. We continue east to "Patrica" and visit some of the small beaches nearby. Our last stop is the Guvercin Island, home to an old demolished Greek monastery.
We finish paddling, stop at the beach opposite from the monastery and return back to the camp for a really relaxing night with barbecque, local wine and music.

Day 11: This is our last paddling day and we start again from the camp going coast to coast - we pass the busy canal of Ayvalik and we head southbound to the gulf of Cennet and Pasa. In between we visit Tavuk Island and Hakki Bay Peninsula, where gorgeous tall pine tree touch the sea.

We go back by bus to the camp to rest and via bus, we visit Seitan Sofrasi, a lovely place at the top of a hill where we'll enjoy the magnificent sunset and a great panoramic view of Ayvalik. A nice dinner is waiting for us in the town of Ayvalik.

Day 12: This is our last day in Turkey and in fascinating Ayvalik. The day starts with a nice breakfast at the camp and after we load our stuff in the bus, we drive to the ancient city of Pergamos. We will spend the day there where we'll also have lunch.
Around 18:00 we'll be back in the town of Ayvalik where we'll board the boat for Lesvos. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Mytilini and the night is free for everyone to relax.

Day 13:  After breakfast where we share our impressions of the trip, we return back to the town of Mytilini via mini-bus to go to the airport.
